Re: Problem with Page Edits
Centering seems to be OK. I've centered the text link at the bottom of this post - http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewto ... f=11&t=213
Also GIF's are OK as the two Acrobat image links are GIF's.
Still puzzled.

Re: Problem with Page Edits
A development - I've been tearing my hair out over this, and have tried a number of things. Here's a little discovery. There is something about pages that end with this little "mini footer" that make them either un-creatable, or un-editable: [align=center]Thanks to [url=http://www.kandysof...

Problem with Page Edits
Hi I wonder if someone can help please? I was trying to edit a post that was created a while ago. I never had a problem with creating the page, but how I've noticed that there was a redundent [/size] bb code tag that needed to be pruned out. All went well until I tried to submit the change. Then I g...

Which stylesheet element do I need to edit?
Hi again I'm finally closing in on my target but there are some final tweaks that I need to do: Taking this page as an example: http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=227 Apart from plain text being in black, elsewhere, the rule of thumb is that red (#d00000) text goes against a ye...

Header / Jumpbox customisation
I originally stripped the search box out of the header as there seemed little point when there was a search box in the portal...however, what I now think may be a good idea for my site is to have the jumpbox in the header, where the search used to be. I did try moving the jumpbox block to the right ...

Sadly not, due to upgrade incompatibilities. It came with v1.05

Shoutbox in Portal configuration problems
I'm having problems configuring the colours for the Shout Box and Polls blocks in the portal. - http://www.brummiesfans.com/main Can someone please tell me which CSS file, and which elements on that CSS file need to be edited so that instead of white, I can have either reds or yellows in there? Than...

Re: upgrade possible?
I wish that the phpbb updater package was as flawless as you suggest, but I've just tried the 3.04 to 3.07PL package, which updates the database just fine, then identifies about 100 files with conflicts, for which none of the code merging or overwriting options work...I just get an error to say that...

Re: Phpbb3 to Modphpbb3 1.0.6 Conversion Upgrade Possible ?
Are you familiar with using phpMyAdmin in your site's Control Panel? If so, you can export selected tables from the existing database and then re-import them to a new database (overwriting the originals) when you have a new installation ready to run. Make sure that stuff like database table prefixes...

Re: upgrade possible?
I think that not being able to upgrade is very disappointing. I for one converted from phpbb2 to Modpnpbb3 1.5 (I think) - based on phpbb 3.04. It now means that I am 3+ versions out of date with phpbb3 and becoming increasingly vulnerable to any discovered security flaws, without any chance of doin...

Re: Header images don't show in IE7 or IE8 Compatability Mod
Fixed now thanks. Seems that there were some missing (and empty!) <span></span> tags in the overall_header.html file. Exactly why empty tags make a difference is beyond me, and no doubt some HTML/CSS expert can let us know. However, thanks for the time taken out to look.

Header images don't show in IE7 or IE8 Compatability Mode
This is my site in question: http://www.brummiesfans.com/main/ Using Internet Explorer 7, or even 8 when switching between compatability mode on & off, the header and logo images above the menu bar don't show. I don't have these problems in IE8, Chrome or Firefox. Ideally I don't want this probl...

Re: Navigation Bar Problem
I went hunting for styles with nav bars and then "borrowed" the "overall header" code for my own. Another thing that I've done is to "lift" the whole forum into layer/level 1, so as to allow for a layer / level 0 into which I stretched a full screen static background im...

No, I think it's just the standard "solid" RRGGBB values
