Yeah, if you look at the TimyMCE site, this little bit of kit looks like a "must have" MOD.

Who knows, it may even find its way to future modphpbb3 releases??? ;)

Re: bbCode Conversion - Is it possible?

Good work on the convertion mate. Thanks, but the work has just begun. Can't wait to get stuck in to the creation of a phpBB3 Style to bring up to date the one that I created for the "old" site. Remember to fully check the posts as by default install phpBB3 has a character limit o...

bbCode Conversion - Is it possible?

bbCode Converter I've just succeeded in converting the database from my old phpBB2 based forum to a plain vanilla phpBB3 installation, as the first step to transferring across to a Modphpbb3 installation: old: http://www.brummiesfans.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=184 new: http://www.brummiesfans.com/van...

Re: Portal Customisation

Yep, if you go to the potal in admin and choose the blocks, there will be an option in there. For the custom blocks (some posted at this forum http://www.modphpbb3.com/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=877) you can add them and move them via the portal/portal_body.html file. I have a list of blocks which I c...

Portal Customisation

Is there any way in which the blocks in the portal can easilly be moved from the right column to the left (or vice versa) and up / down the column, so that the Admin has full control over the layout and appearance? I've seen it done in phpNuke, but here all I've found so far is the ability to hide /...

Re: how import other phpbb3 sql.

OK...two things then... 1. For my phpBB2 site, I'm going to try to convert the database in a "plain vanilla" phpBB3 installation and see what happens from there. 2. What about formatting data from an Access database into a schema suitable for importing into modphpbb3? Any suggestions on ho...

Re: WYSIWYG Editor

Yeah, a bit of a pain phpBB being down, but at least what their problem has gaven me the incentive to upgrade my own phpList version.

When it is back, it may be worth looking at the integration of TinyMCE (http://tinymce.moxiecode.com), as that little WYSIWYG editor looks like the dogs biscuits.

Re: WYSIWYG Editor

Does anyone have any ideas as to which the best WYSIWYG editor is for phpBB3, and how easy it is to install? I have seen references to "MSSTI's Advanced BBCcode" and also to something called "Hot Editor" I have one in my phpBB2 site, and it's so much more user-friendly to have s...
