I saw the style author post this on phpBB and think it looks really nice. Also now usable and edited on ModphpBB3 too

There surely must be a way. My first thought would be set up a new forum just for polls, allow voting but disallow new topics/replies.

I have not seen any guest books for phpBB, I guess that would defeat the object of a forum but it should be easy enough to add a separate book and have a link up top or in the forum menu system.
