Can someone please tell me which CSS items control the appearance of the Navigation Bar? In particular the text colour and the roll-over/hover properties.

I find it very confusing that some CSS elements are in common.css and are then repeated in colors.css, without much in the way of a steer as to which is the "active" css that produces the end result.

All sorted out now...seems that the relevant bits were in the last few lines of links.css (where else?)

Who added that navigation bar? Was it on the style?

I went hunting for styles with nav bars and then "borrowed" the "overall header" code for my own.

Another thing that I've done is to "lift" the whole forum into layer/level 1, so as to allow for a layer / level 0 into which I stretched a full screen static background image.
