Installing games for the arcade...

Post by Kuroi »

Ive been having trouble correctly insalling games for the arcade...
This is what ive done:
Downloaded the arcade packs hosted at this site
put the individual .zip files in the /install directory (there were about 30 of em)
They all show up, but when I select them to unpack them, it says they were unpacked successfully, but they are NOT getting unpacked, and they do NOT show up under "add games".

So, any ideas?

Would it be possible to decompress the files first THEN upload them? If so, I just need to know where to upload them to.

Make sure the correct permissions are set on the folders. You can uncompress and upload to the correct folder(s). If you visit the author of that arcade's site at jeffrusso.net, all info should be on there :good:

There should be a tutorial within the admin tab of the arcade on the left.

Did you check permissions via ftp of the /install folder

Nah, I already had the right permissions. It just wasnt extracting it.
Anyway, I went to the guys site and posted this, and I got the answers I was looking for.
Turns out I need to extract manually and upload to the right folders.

You shouldn't need to extract the zip. You can add the games in zip format to the install folder or upload them them in acp.

Obviously you can extract first but more time consuming.
