Well I figured after using it so many times in the past it was pretty much BUG FREE! didn't think there would be ANY problems! any chance of getting a link to an older version of the portal? that worked great on the last site I put up!

It should be pretty much bug free buster.
Lets have a think what could have happened.
1. Have you looked at cookie settings in the ACP and checked they are looking good.
2. Have you had a look at COPPA settings to see something isn't up there.
3. Any mods you may have added since installing?
4. Have a look at CAPTCHA settings in ACP and select it to use something else than what it is on.
5. Purge cache and all template cache.
Have a go through of those five and see if it works again?

i newly installed a fresh forum from the latest modphpbb and experiencing the same problem. also encountered a message on top of the index.
