I noticed that ajax shout is for phpbb2.

how did you manage to get in installed on phpbb3? I would really like to add this feature to my board...

There is a few for phpBB3..

AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8

Ajax Shoutbox 1.2.x Thats a very popular one as endorsed by JackValley HERE :D

There is a shout box that you can also add to that Blueimp Chat HERE

This one is apearantly not available anymore Ajax Shoutbox 1.2.x

and this one, AJAX Chat/Shoutbox MOD 2.0.0 Beta 8 adds a chat page as well, which i don't want, i am only looking for the shoutbox thingy. Do you perhaps have the install files and all that?

Pauls Ajax Shoutbox is new (at least that version is) so the download should still be available.

Also, Handymans Ajax chat doesn't actually have to be on a seperate page either, just run it on index without adding the link to a seperate page. That one may need some adjusting depending on your style used, as it seems to be a bit big otherwise.

I have decided to go with the chat/shout mod. The shoutbox mod on its own has appearantly been abandoned by the author. Which i think sucks quite a lot. :confused:

I have an older version of the shoutbox on hard drive which I am happy to send the zip, bearing in mind that he won't support it now and you won't no longer get support for it.

If not, Handymans chat/shout is good, but you may need to tweak it slightly on your index as in my opinion, it is quite domainating in size of the box.
