no edit posts

I hope this is the correct forum for this,if not please forgive this young womans humble mistake.
I recently started a gaming forum including a "skin' call prospace. My friend and site teck does most of the installations.I checked the ability to "edit posts for admin, global mods and users,but no ability to edit appears on the forum, can someone explain to me or help me please

If you are sure correct permissions are set, it may be worth trying prosilver as a style to see if it appears on that and not something on the style?

I'm guessing if the permissions are set and it's not showing, the styler has left it off the template file
