Ive just installed ModphpBB3.05 and its really cool. I was wondering if there is anyway to make the defaut admin name something different, same with the password. Is there a file I can edit to do so?

Yep, just go into ACP - users and search 'admin' and you can change it there.

You must change the password in 'user control panel' from what is supplied on ModphpBB3, do it now, it should be the first thing you do.

I know how to change the name that way. But at the bottom where stats are, it still says admin in some places. I was wondering if the name could be changed before installation.

I think you can see that the top poster stats are wrong, also in the forums where the last poster shows up, it still says admin.

hmm, I haven't seen that before. Are you sure you changed it in all possible fields although I am pretty sure it's only the one.

If your forum isn't so active yet, try recounting the post counts and purge on the first page of ACP. I have never seen that before, it normally just replaces the name.

I've tried both those options and it didnt work. But thanks for your help anyways. If you ever find the file that determines the username, could you please tell me?

It is the first time I've heard that happe. Purge template? (long shot I know but it my refresh the name on index)
Also make sure you click the button on the first page of ACP..

Resynchronise statistics:
Recalculates the total number of posts, topics, users and files.

Yea I've done all that. I dont know if you've looked at my site but the forums with the latest poster is also wrong.

Not sure if you fixed it now zui but just checked your url and looks fine now.

Yea I think after I reset every forum style 4 times, it worked. Thanks for the help. I love this version of phpBB.
