Missing Goodies?
I went searching for a tutorial on how to send email to my forum participants (dead giveaway something was wrong that I needed to do this) and found a cool Aussie tutorial on mail sending.
The problem is no such option exists in my "system" tab. All I have showing is:
Automation

Re: phpBB 3.0.5 released
I also have ACP_PRVMSG in my Quick Access section (which goes to a "go away you don't have permissions" red boxed message)
I bet others are going to experience similar fun n games with the upgr to 3.0.5
hopefully this isn't a failed upgrade and i have to rebuild the board from scratch.

Re: Error in index page
I'm getting this same error after the upgrade to 3.0.5 from 3.0.4
perhaps because i'm running modphpbb3?
Fatal error: Call to undefined method user::format_dateucb() in /home/rough/public_html/includes/functions_upcbirthdays.php on line 91
couldn't find the "load settings" anywhere in acp or any ...

MODPHPBB# and 3.0.5
Is there a timeframe we can expect for the new 3.0.5 to show up in the modphpbb3 install package?
Thx!

Re: phpBB 3.0.5 released
I managed to reach admin and found these curious entries in Board Configuration - General
ACP_ANNOUNCEMENTS_CENTRE
ACP_WELCOME_PM
ACP_CONTACT_ADMIN_SETTINGS
not seeing anything about birthdays in .MODS
however, in .MODS, i also have more trouble:

Re: phpBB 3.0.5 released
I'm wondering if I shot myself in the foot with this upgrade to 3.0.5
All went well until I got to logging in as admin under 3.0.5 (said all files processed successfully)
I get:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method user::format_dateucb() in /home/rough/public_html/includes/functions_upcbirthdays ...

Re: Disabling ALL Advertising
It must be inheriting the overall footer from prosilver then.
you da man! i was looking in the WRONG version of prosilver. once i navigated into the modded version (and not the stock vanilla phpbb3 ver of prosilver), i found the ad stuff, yanked it, then replaced the 360elite with the edited ...

If you open overall footer in prosilver and remove that include, upload the refresh template cache, it will disappear.

Re: Disabling ALL Advertising
So I take it you have added the edits to that style as that isn't actually in the downloads here.
I've never seen that style edited for modphpbb3, where did you download it?
haven't touched the style. not one edit. appears to work perfectly with vanilla bb3 or modbb3.

Re: Disabling ALL Advertising
The include won't appear in that file then as it's a style ready for a vanilla phpBB not a ModphpBB3 install.
So if you are using that style, you won't actually see ad's anyway. I thought you were asking how to remove them for prosilver/subsilver/an edited style.

Re: Disabling ALL Advertising
I'm using 360elite found on the main phpbb3 styles site, and the overall_footer.html file found in that style archive has nothing about ad_banner_footer that I can detect.
It also doesn't contain the file ad_banner_footer.html according to my search of the style archive...that's why I was fumbling ...

Re: Disabling ALL Advertising
The corners are nothing to do with it, you just simply remove this line
<-- include ad_banner_footer.html -->
from Overall Footer, re-upload file and refresh templates.
i gotta be BLIND today. not seeing that statement anywhere. only TWO statements of any import in the overall_footer file ...
