Does anybody know how to clear the past history from the shout box?

I don't mean by clicking the X, but I have pages and pages of old chatter ever since we lauuched. is there a way to automatically purge them after maybe a few days? What file is all the old chatter stored in?

Thanks very much, I and my members find it is so much easier being at the top, just underneath the announcements. Perhaps this should be standard in the next release

I'm using the premodded Glacier style downloaded here, but I find the chatbox would be better at the top underneath the Announcements, just above the main forum. I've tried sussing it, but can't figure it. How do I do this? Thanks for an excellent premodded PHPBB3 forum. Just what I've been looking ...
