Forum Security

Post by GirlieGirl »

How should I set my Security Settings? I relaxed them a bit because a member was having problems staying logged in. Its helped, but Ive been seeing too many forums getting hacked and its making me nervous.
Ideally Id like the settings to be as tight as possible without restricting my members or causing them problems.
Thanks.

Just make sure you are running the latest 3.0.4 version of phpBB and relax! :D

If you are getting trouble with bots registering, add any of the 3 anti bot mods out there.

Easier said than done LDM. I actually tried updating myself this time and you will find my panicked messages to you in your PM's.

What forum platform are the hacks you have seen? Not phpbb 3?
Maybe phpbb 2 or something else?
