ok I am much closer now but I hit another wall

when I installed phpbb3 I set up the user account as Tris
this has now after upgrade changed to Admin and the password won't work
I tried re-sending password and put in the email address I logged and it said that it isn't recognised
any ideas?

The default pass is 'random'.
