Neat job, i was just regarding does the portal require the forum to be installed or portal and forum are together in one install.

i have version 3.0.2 , would i have to remove version 3.0.2 and install the latest one?

or is there another way

Regardless of what version of ModphpBB3 you are using, you should always make sure you are running the most up to date version of phpBB using the auto updater downloadable from phpbb.com. It is currently 3.0.4.

For the sake of a few more mods, it would just be easier to update phpBB version, update Gallery and Arcade if you are using them on the board and then add Board 3 Portal.
